In Brazil, Cosan announced a three-year deal with Mitsubishi to export up to 21 Mgy of ethanol to Japan. The cane-based ethanol will be converted in Japan to ETBE, a mix of ethanol and isobutylene that does not require infrastructure modifications in distribution.
