Biofuels Digest Index soars 3.69 percent to 56.71 on broad market advances

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, soared 3.69 percent to 56.71 on broad market advances and reaction to ExxonMobil’s investment in algae.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 2.49 percent to $27.94, while BP advanced 4.16 percent to $48.33.  Among small caps, GreenHunter (GRH) gained 18.00 percent to $1.77. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
