In Canada, Archer Daniels Midland exec James Montalvo confirmed that the proposed 70 Mgy canola biodiesel plant, a JV of ADM and Canadian Bioenergy slated for Alberta, is still in the works. The plant would utilize 240,000 tonnes of canola oil from 600,000 tonnes of seed. ADM said that 90 per cent of the ADM Lloydminster canola plant’s output goes to cattle feed.
