Midwest Algae Commercialization meeting set for August 18 in Minneapolis
In Minnesota, the Midwest Algae Commercialization Workshop will be held on August 18 in Minneapolis. Todd Taylor of Fredrickson & Byron reports, “This event is meant to serve as a bridge between R&D and eventual commercialization activities in the algae field. While algae commercialization is still in its infancy, its potential is evident and becoming apparent to even biofuels skeptics like Exxon Mobil.”
The event will feature prominent speakers from industry, research, government and finance discussing the current state of R&D and the industry, including potential markets such as fuels, energy and materials, as well as governmental and private financing and incentives. There will be a poster session and competition for researchers and students interested in applying.
