In Nebraska, Mid-America Agri Products filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for its 44 Mgy Cambridge ethanol plant. According to local news reports, the plant is listing $80 million in assets and $66 million in liabilities in its filing. The plant closed in January due to economic conditions, but plans to reopen did not materialize. The city of Cambridge said that it hoped for new ownership that would restart the plant.
