In Oregon, Governor Ted Kulongoski signed a bill to allow service stations to sell unblended premium gasoline beginning Jan. 1, 2010. Supporters, including House Republican Leader Bruce Hanna (R-Roseburg) and Rep. Tim Freeman (R-Roseburg), said that the bill was a “common sense fix” to engine complaints received from customers using ethanol-blended fuels.
State law had permitted unblended fuel for off-road purposes, but lawmakers said that distribution was inadequate.
