Florida’s Gov. Crist upbeat in biofuels at Florida Farm to Fuel Summit

In Florida, Governor Charlie Crist told attendees at the Farm to Fuel Summit that Florida’s success as a national leader in renewable energy technology, including ethanol and other biofuel production, benefits the state’s economy and environment while reducing our dependence on foreign oil. Crist added that he believed that “dare I say it, Florida is the leader in renewable energy.” Crist noted that the state has invested $43 million via the Renewable Energy and Energy-Efficient Technologies Grant Program, with 43 percent of that investment targeted towards bioenergy. bioenergy sector.
