In Nebraska, Green Plains Renewable Energy announced that it has commenced operations at its recently-acquired 100 Mgy Central City ethanol plant. The company said that they made necessary repairs and capital improvements to the plant. The plant had been idle since November 2008.
Green Plains is North America’s fourth largest ethanol producer with a combined expected operating capacity of 480 million gallons of ethanol per year.
