UK’s Technology Strategy Board launches $148 million research program to reduce airline emissions

In the UK, the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) announced that a coalition of universities and aviation companies will undertake a $148 million research program to reduce the carbon footprint of aviation and improve engine fuel efficiency. Funding is provided by the TSB and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. The group hopes to ensure that British aviation will remain competitive in a post-carbon world.
