Biofuels Digest Index tumbles 1.61 percent to 61.76 on algae reverse

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.61 percent to 61.76 as algae tumbled, offsetting grain and ethanol gains.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) advanced 0.90 percent to $0.90, while BP was up 4.02 percent to $52.05.  Among small caps, PetroAlgae (PALG.OB) fell 69.07 percent to $10.13. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
