In India, the Centre for Jatropha Promotion announced the commercial release of combination oil crop cultivation (COC) technology, and projected that it could sustain yields of 485-545 gallons per acre of jatropha oil.
CJP Director of Plant Science R.R. We have been in search of such an inter-crop for Jatropha, oil bearing like Jatropha itself without competing with it for food and water and should be capable of fulfilling Jatropha fertilizer requirement and still maintaining soil fertility.
