Brazilian ethanol exports fall; partly offset by rising exports to India, Japan, South Korea

In Brazil, UNICA is reporting that exports of anhydrous ethanol to the US fell to 5.8 million gallons for the second quarter of 2009, compared to 99 million gallons in the corresponding period last year.

UNICA said that ethanol production has dropped 13 percent in Brazil, and the rest of the shortfall was made up with increased exports to India, Japan, and South Korea and stable exports to the Caribbean and EU.
