In California, NBA basketball star Shaquille O’Neal has become an endorser and customer of the GreenHouse MicroFueler, a home-based system that converts organic waste into fuel. Shaq joked with reporters that he was changign his nickname from “Diesel” to “Big Eth,”. “I tried it, I liked it,” O’Neal told the Orange County Register. “I flew to Southern California to see it first-hand. It’s cost effective and it works. Hopefully, with my presence, people will look at [the fuel system] and they’ll try it.” The MicroFueler produces ethanol for $2.00 per gallon.
