In California, Circle Biodiesel & Ethanol Corporation announced that it received a “Notice of Allowance” by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for a Suction Dredge System and Method used as a safe, environmentally-friendly and economical way of recovering algae in a continuous fashion without the need for human swimmers to handle or clear a dredge.
Circle said it has filed with the USPTO for an algae oil extraction method and a process that converts algae oil to biodiesel, ethanol, methane gas, and drinking water.
