GM launches first B20 biodiesel certified engine

In Michigan, GM announced its first B20 biodiesel certified engine. The 6.6 liter Duramax V8 diesel engine appears in the Chevy Express van, and is capable of towing more than 17,000 pounds, should get mileage “in the low teens” according to GM in city traffic and i”in the low twenties” for highway. GM has made the engine B20 biodiesel compatible without the help of additional fuel sensors. The engine comes to market in 2Q 2010.
