Land Use, Algae conferences convene in St. Louis this month
In Missouri, two conferences are coming up of interest this month.
The National Corn Growers Association is hosting the first ever Land Use Conference, in St. Louis on August 25-26th. The subject – how indirect land use policy will affect the agriculture and biofuels business. Incoming NGCA president Darrin Ihnen told Domestic Fuel that “We want to make sure that EPA and CARB and others are using sound science to develop their models, and today we don’t think they’re doing that,” said Ihnen. You can register online at NCGA’s website. The cost is $250 per person.
Meanwhile, the Center for Evergreen Energy in conjunction with The Southern Growth Policies Board and The Southern Agriculture and Forestry Resource Alliance host “Algae-to-Energy in the South,” in St. Louis on August 26th, for scientists and stakeholders.
