Algal Biomass Summit features J Craig Venter as keynoter; agenda available

In California, the agenda is available for  the Algal Biomass Association’s Algal Biomass Summit, held October 7-9 in San Diego. Dr. Craig Venter, chairman of Synthetic Genomics and the J. Craig Venter Institute will keynote this year’s event, presenting “From Reading to Writing the Genetic Code”.

Overall, the event will feature concurrent scientific and production/commercialization tracks with panels chaired by leading execs from Scripps Research Institute, Boeing, Martek, Mars Symbioscience, the European Algae Biomass Association, NREL, Targeted Growth, A2BE Carbon Capture, and Byrne & Company among others, and including scientists such as Dr. John Benemann, Dr. Greg Mitchell, Dr. Steve Mayfield, Dr. Keith Cooksey and Dr. Ike Levine.
