Hyperfuels division of Gulf Hydrocarbon Partners becomes biofuel sponsor of the Jetta TDI Cup race series

In Massachusetts, Volkswagen of America announced that the Hyperfuels division of Gulf Hydrocarbon Partners as Official Fuel Sponsor of the 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup racing series. In the Jetta TDI Cup, race teams run on Hyperfuels’ B5 biodiesel blend, while support trucks and trailers run on a B20 blend. Biodiesel magazine is reporting that racing teams are getting more torque, better fuel economy, and will save 40,000 pounds of CO2 emissions over the course of this year’s race series.
