Australian Beauty Leaf Tree generates 534 gallons of oil per acre in field trials

In Australia, the Australian Beauty Leaf Tree is being promoted as a biodiesel feedstock for its salt-tolerance, poor soil friendliness and high oil content. Researchers have found yields of up to 534 gallons per acre in trials, and the tree survives for 200 years and can be managed similar to a macadamia plantation.
