Biofuels Digest Index retreats 0.51 percent to 61.82

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, retreated 0.51 percent to 61.82, halting a late summer rally in grain stocks. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 0.73 percent to $28.83, while Aventine Renewables (AVR) fell 5.00 percent to $0.19.  Among small caps, Bluefire Ethanol (BFRE) gained 6.67 percent to $0.96.  Overall, declines led advances were 3 to 1 for the day.
