In the UK, D1 Oils announced that it had halved its operating losses in the first half to $4.58 million compared to $9.1 million the previous year. The company said that restructuring and an increased emphasis on jatropha were responsible for the reduced losses, although revenues fell to $2.5 million, from $3.6 million for the first half of last year.
The company said that it had completing jatropha planting on 543,000 acres as of June 30.
