In the Philippines, Bron-zeoak Philippines said that it is seeking finance for its second ethanol project, a 10 Mgy, 8 MW sugarcane power and fuel project that will cost $30 million. The company is looking at locations in Kibawe, South Bukidnon and Capas, Tarlac, and are based on 51,000 acre sugarcane plantations to supply biomass.
The company holds a stake in the 7 Mgy San Carlos refinery that also produces 8 MW of power and sells fuel to Petron, the largest oil refiner in the Philippines.
