In Indiana, Purdue researcher Klein Ileleji has developed a technique for predicting the amount of nutrient content in dried distillers grains, which will increase the ease of marketing the grains to farmers who use the nutrient-packed grains as a supplement for cattle diets.
Ileleji and his team developed a series of 36 ratios to accurately model how the balance of liquids and solids can be utilized to predict nutrient content, despite varying amounts of protein and fiber from batch to batch.
