BioFuelBox announces development of full-scale commercial plant using waste FOG as biofuel feedstock

In California, BioFuelBox announced that it has completed installation of a 1 Mgy biodiesel plant at a potato processing plant in American Falls, Idaho. The BioFuelBox NovoStream technology establishes scalable modular facilities that convert waste fat, oil and grease from wastewater into biofuels.

The company announced that it has agreements with six different facilities in the Southeast, and has commenced development of the first full-scale biodiesel plant using wastewater-based FOG as a feedstock.

The company said that it has a 7:1 net return on energy in its process, and utilizes low-quality pond greases which are traditionally stockpiled by processing plants because of the lack of a secondary market for lower quality grease.
