New Zealand cleantech fund seeks Kiwi investment opportunities in renewables

In New Zealand, the Herald is reporting that the Rutherford Innovation Fund is looking to invest up to $50 million in cleantech companies with New Zealand companies or companies with operations in the country.

The fund, raised by Milestone Capital, has already invested in algae pioneer Aquaflow Bionomic as well as Carbonscape, a carbon capture and storage technology. The general theme of the fund is acceleration or expansion funding for early-to-mid stage companies who have completed their early-stage demonstrations.
