In Kansas, the state’s Wheat Commission has issued a call for research proposals to increase the profitability of wheat cultivation. Two-page preliminary proposals are due October 30th, with “wheat and wheat bi-products for use in biofuel applications, including on-farm fuel production” among the specific areas of interest indicated by the Commission.
A research review committee will interview candidates in Manhattan in January, and final awards will be announced in the spring.
