ETH Bioenergia, Brenco discuss merger

In Brazil, ETH Bioenergia and Brenco announced that they are exploring a merger that would create a company with 660 Mgy in ethanol capacity and an ability to process 37 million tonnes of sugar cane per year, by 2014. The companies said that they could eventually go public, after a merger, with ETH confirming that it has explored options to go public as soon as 2012 as a stand-alone. The company would also have 2500 GWh of electricity production capacity.
