Accelergy, A2BE Carbon Capture form Carbon Cycle Technology Alliance to advance algal biofuels
In California, Accelergy and A2BE Carbon Capture announced the formation of the Carbon Cycle Technology Alliance, to develop a Integrated Carbon to Liquids (ITCL) algae biofuels plant online by 2011. ITCL technologies use CO2 and other non-petroleum, non-food sources of carbon to produce drop in fuels such as premium gasoline, diesel, Jet-A, and military JP-5, JP-8, and JP-9 jet fuel.
Under the proposed alliance, Accelergy will contribute catalytic conversion technologies and A2BE Carbon Capture will contribute algae photobioreactor CO2 recycle technology. Other alliance partners will supply engineering, systems integration, and Six Sigma driven manufacturing capabilities.
