In Bulgaria, the national Council of Ministers has passed a B2 biodiesel mandate, commencing in March 2010. The proposed mandate will increase to 3 percent biodiesel content in September 2010 and 4 percent in March 2011. The proposed mandate requires passage in the National Assembly. The Council of Ministers declined to impose an ethanol mandate, citing a lack of domestic production.
