Drop-in fuels, waste biomass and hydrotreating voted top biofuel, feedstock and technology in Digest poll

HottestFuelsIn Florida, Digest readers identified drop-in, renewable fuels as the “Hottest Fuel“, waste biomass as the “Hottest Feedstock” and hydro-treatment conversion of bio-based oils into renewable diesel and jet fuel as the “Hottest Processing Technology” in the Biofuels Digest “Hot Fuels and Feedstocks” survey.

Full results are available here. Readers identified renewable gasoline, renewable diesel and renewable jet fuel as the top three fuels. Waste biomass, algae and forest woods and residues as the top three feedstocks. Hydrotreatment, pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion and acid/enzymatic hydrolysis were identified as the  top processing technologies.
