In Kentucky, Louisville Clean Energy outlined its proposed “Multi-Process Method of Combined-Cycle Energy Generation, Biodiesel, Ethanol and Methane Production”, in which waste heat from biodiesel production is used as the primary energy for the creation of ethanol. Remaining “waste” from the production of ethanol and bio-diesel is put back into the bio-refinery. The company, which is focused on military/government facilities and municipalities and has a focus on deep community involvement, small facilities and distributed generation for rural areas.
