In Sweden, Alfa Laval announced that it had received a repeat order from PetroVietnam for $14 million in equipment and engineering solutions for a PetroVietnam ethanol plant in northern Vietnam using cassava as feedstock.
Alfa Laval’s heat exchangers will be used in a starch-based fermentation, distillation and dehydration process of the ethanol plant. Delivery is scheduled for 2010. PetroVietnam is constructing a total of 84 Mgy in ethanol capacity.
