In the Philippines, Bworldonline.com is reporting that a US trade mission to the Philippines produced $330 million in investment commitments from US companies related to biofuels investments, farm productivity technology, and high-yield crop investment including bananas, pineapple, palm oil and aquaculture. Two of the four companies making investment pledges were related to biofuel crops — with a focus of attention on jatropha, cassava and corn.
