In the Philippines, a report in bworldonline disclosed that the US-based Alan Group is in discussions with First Pampanga Biofuels to construct a $312.5-million 95 Mgy jatropha oil processing plant.
The potential deal, an outcome of a 24-company agribusiness trade mission led by US Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack last month to the Philippines, does not yet have an announced location.
