Biofuels Digest Index falls 1.06 percent to 64.26 on broad market slide

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, fell 1.06 percent to 64.26 on broad market jitters resulting from Dubai’s debt woes. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rebounded 0.52 percent to $30.81, while BP slumped another 1.60 percent to $57.18.  Among smaller caps, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) gained 37.21 percent on rising optimism over a debt deferral and a restart of operations in Idaho. Overall, declines led advances by 2 to 1 for the day.
