EPA proposes landmark ruling to enable regulation of greenhouse gases under Clean Air Act
In Washington, in a landmark ruling, the EPA issued a proposed finding that “greenhouse gases contribute to air pollution that may endanger public health or welfare,” and proposed to regulate the emission of carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and sulfur hexafluoride.
