Green Plains acquires 51 percent of terminal operator Blendstar for $9.0 million from Bioverda
In Nebraska, Green Plains Renewable Energy announced that it has acquired a 51 percent stake in Blendstar, a biofuel terminal operator, for $9.0 million. The stake was purchased from Bioverda Holdings. Blendstar operates terminals in Oklahoma, Arkansas, tennessee and Alabama and has committed to construct terminals in Louisiana and Mississippi. Becker to become new CEO of Green Plains Renewable Energy
In Nebraska, Green Plains Renewable Energy named president and COO Todd A. Becker as CEO, replacing Wayne Hoovestol who will remain as company chairman. The move was previously announced at the time of the merger of Green Plains with VBV, where Becker was CEO.
