“Algaeus,” the 150 mpg algae-powered, modified Prius, arrives in Sacramento to promote FUEL
In California, the Algaeus arrived in Sacramento to promote advanced biofuels and the local screening of the film FUEL. The specially modified, plug-in hybrid version of the Toyota Prius, running on 5 percent algae supplied by Sapphire Energy, is rated at 150 miles per gallon, and features a plug-in recharger and extended battery pack.
