Kansas Wheat Commission seeks research proposals to expand uses, profitability of wheat production

In Kansas, the state’s Wheat Commission has issued a call for research proposals to increase the profitability of wheat cultivation. Two-page preliminary proposals are due October 30th, with “wheat and wheat bi-products for use in biofuel applications, including on-farm fuel production” among the specific areas of interest indicated by the Commission.

R-3 Energy debuts 1.4 Mgy chicket fat biodiesel plant in Kansas

In Kansas, R-3 Energy has commenced production at its 1.4 Mgy chicken fat biodiesel plant in Cottonwood Falls, about halfway between Wichita and Kansas City.

Orion Ethanol acting CEO to run for Congress
