PetroVietnam orders ethanol equipment, engineering solutions from Alfa Laval for cassava ethanol plants

Sweden grants $73 million to Chemrec for demo of black liquor gasification for biofuels

In Sweden, the Swedish Energy R&D Board announced a $73 million grant in support of a demonstration of Chemrec’s technology for production of the renewable motor fuels BioDME and Biomethanol. The plant will be built at the Domsjö Fabriker biorefinery in Örnsköldsvik.

Swedish report concludes biogas most effective government subsidy for reducing greenhouse gas emissions

In Sweden, Vinnova, the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, concluded in a report that  biogas investments are  the most effective government subsidy for reducing CO2-emissions. The report evaluated all aspects of the Swedish “Climate Investment Programme” and found that biogas investments proved 10 – 100 times more economically efficient than all other compared investments.
