Full-Time Grain Processing Technical Sales Representative (North America)

This position is based in the Midwest.
We are seeking a motivated technical sales professional with extensive experience in the development and implementation of successful sales and marketing strategies in the ethanol industry in the USA. This position will be focused on increasing market penetration for the companys alpha-amylase and glucoamylase enzymes. Critical to success is an ability to develop a strong technical understanding of the industry and our products. A broad business acumen, a sales ability, customer account management and relationship management will also be necessary traits for the successful candidate. This position will report to the Director of Grain Processing Enzymes and will be a pivotal link between customers, the supply chain, technical support and Vereniums team in San Diego.
-Responsible for managing and growing sales of ethanol production enzymes in the USA
-Developing sales leads through technical commercial and operational channels and converting leads to customer accounts
-Managing existing and new customer accounts, providing technical and sales support
-Explaining product value proposition and technical performance to sales leads
-Providing technical support to new customer implementations of enzyme and process
-Providing product manager and senior management with relevant market information
Bachelors degree in a biological or chemical science, engineering, or a related field and 5-7 years of experience in field technical sales and marketing of high-value, consumable industrial products OR equivalent experience in ethanol production business. Experience with customer account management is required. Experience doing business in ethanol plants in the Midwest is preferred.
