In Missouri, Midwest Biodiesel Products LLC (also known as St Louis Biofuels LLC) has received a $300,000 loan from the St. Louis Business Development Fund and St. Louis Private Fund that will be used to rehire laid-off workers and buy soybean and vegetable oil.

The company’s $8 million, 12,000-square-foot facility was built in 2006 in South Roxana, Ill., and has a 12 million gallon annual production capacity, but faced financial trouble after the biodiesel and renewable diesel tax incentive ended on December 31, 2009.
