Kenana Sugar signs $500M deal to double ethanol, add biodiesel in Sudan

In Brazil, the Sudanese Kenana Sugar Company signed two deals with the Brazilian company Dedini to provide machinery and equipment to double the size of Kenana’s sugarcane ethanol plant in Sudan and to set up a new biodiesel operation.

The deals were worth up to $500 million and were partially financed using Brazilian credit. The deals also include building infrastructure to support the production and expansion.
