Annual report on German biodiesel published

In Germany, UFOP has published a summary report on the German biodiesel consumption and industry conditions for 2009/10, noting that consumption has stabilized at 2.605 million tonnes in 2010, compared to 2.616 million tonnes in 2009. Consumption had reached a high of 4.00 million tonnes in 2007 before the elimination of the biodiesel tax credit.

Overall, the use of B100 and pure veggie oil has dropped more than 80 percent from its 2007 high, while use of biodiesel as an additive has increased by 50 percent to 2.23 million tonnes.
