On the Move in Biofuels: ADM, Amyris, Braskem

In Illinois, Archer Daniels Midland named Paul Bloom as business director, Industrial Chemicals. In this role, Bloom will be responsible for developing and commercializing renewable chemicals, and for managing the commercial activities of ADM’s industrial chemicals business.

In Brazil, the nomination of Carlos Fadigas as CEO of Braskem has been approved by the Company’s Board of Directors.  Fadigas headed operations as CEO of Braskem America since the start of 2010.  Braskem has set a goal of becoming the global leader in sustainable chemistry by 2020 and began producing green polyethylene made from sugarcane ethanol, becoming the largest biopolymer producer in the world.

In California, Amyris announced that Philippe Boisseau has joined the company’s board of directors. Mr. Boisseau is currently president of Total’s Gas & Power division.
