Nebraska subcontracter dies due to electrocution, local biofuel company fined $60,000

In Nebraska, OSHA has fined Next Step Burell LLC, a local biofuel company, with $60,000 in fines after finding five serious citations and one willfull violation as a result of a subcontractor’s death due to electrocution. OSHA said two other Next Step employees workers were shocked cleaning out the same cable tray and that Next Step exposed workers to electrical hazards and failed to provide adequate training.
