Michigan Sierra Club voluntarily withdraws its Petition for Review of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment Air Permit to Install

In Michigan, in a follow up to a 12/15 story, Frontier Renewable Resources has released a statement regarding the Michigan Sierra Club’s decision to voluntarily withdraw its Petition for Review of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment Air Permit to Install.  Steve Hicks, CEO of Frontier stated, “The Sierra Club’s decision to withdraw is a responsible action that recognized the permit protected human health and environment.”  Construction of the company’s 40 million gallon per year cellulosic ethanol biorefinery in Kinross Township, Michigan, is planned for mid-2011 with plant start up in 2013.
