Eastern Renewable Fuels halts Philippine cassava ethanol project: high feedstock prices

In the Philippines, Eastern Renewable Fuels Corp. has put on hold the construction of its cassava ethanol plant in Isabela until the price of cassava falls. Eastern’s original plan was to put up three ethanol plants in Isabela, each with a capacity of 30 million liters a year with total investment seen at $30 million.
