BioHeat from biodiesel one of Top 5 heating stories for 2011, says HeatingOil.com

HeatingOil.com predicted that Biodiesel-blended heating oil, or BioHeat, will be one of the top five stories for 2011 in the heating oil industry. The industry website cited the rejection of the oil industry’s challenge to the Renewable Fuel Standard and the reinstatement of the $1 per gallon biodiesel tax credit as reasons that the biodiesel industry would be increasingly active and visible in the new year, and increase access by heating oil customers to blends and purestocks of biodiesel-based heating oil.
The site also noted low-sulphur requirements, greenhouse gas emission regulation and the price of crude oil among stories that would be the most important in 2011.
