HECO calls for 3-7 million gallons of biodiesel

In Hawaii, Hawaiian Electric Company has issued a call for a supply of three to seven million gallons of biodiesel per year for the 110-megawatt Campbell Estate Industrial Park Generating Station. Included is a request to supply 250,000 gallons per year for the 8 MW Honolulu International Airport Emergency Power Facility which is projected to be in service in summer of 2012. The deadline to submit proposals is March 15, 2011.
